Todd, have gotten old and forgetful but have now remembered that the adjuster that works for you is called a public adjuster. Would suggest using google to find one if you feel like not getting a fair deal. Seems many non-employee, contract adjusters are more focused on the hiring insurance company than the insured as their next assignment/paycheck is dependent on making the company happy.
