Driftless SW Wisconsin

August 11th. Grazed this strip down low, spread some fertilizer and no-till drilled the mix in. I'm trying to do the same thing: have the herd grazing as long as possible to minimize hay feeding time. Also break up some compaction in this frequently grazed strip.

The radish and turnip seed was mixed in the small seed box but evidently not mixed very well as you can see patches where there are more of one than the other. Winter rye was in the big box on the drill.
