Subject: RE: not reading the ad, that drives me nuts

Amherst WI
I hate selling my own stuff.

I sold a semi and hopper bottom this last fall.

I had a nice ad on a Facebook selling page where I described what I thought was everything important.

Four words in, it said 3176 CAT engine. Guy asks what motor does it have?

You could read my responses to peoples questions. 3, count them 3 different people asked me if it had a Jake brake, 2 (maybe it was even 3 too) asked me if it had a wet kit which by the pictures made it pretty obvious it didn't. Then people needed more pictures, after I did that they must have been kidnapped by a Mexican drug cartel since they fell off the face of the earth.

It was a $7000 26 year old Peterbilt, somehow people think it should be a $170,000 show truck for that price.

I put it on CL and ended selling the truck to the first guy that called on it, nice guy too. Trailer went to the consignment sale and I was never so happy to pay 10% commission in my life.
