Now you know how parents felt when they quit teachin calligraphy. I'm sure someone complained when they went to those fancy numerals and papyrus instead of teaching kids to use an abacus. Personally, I think it is a waste of time teaching cursive. Maybe they should learn to read it as it is still used some, but I may write in cursive once or twice a year.
