And yet, there are some 36-37-38 countries in the world experiencing extreme famine conditions. I'd be very pleased if our government would buy some of our surplus and GIVE it away. I recently asked Sen. Roberts' office if PL 480 could somehow be used to give away, or heavily subsidize our sales of surplus commodities. Two months later I received a generic email response thanking me for my "concerns and input regarding this very serious issue.".......but no useful information re: Pl 480..................................which might not be applicable anyway.......I'm not an experts on all the nuances of it......but thought I'd ask.

Anyway, It's NOT that there isn't a use for most of the grain we raise............it's a surplus of grain stocks, relative to the number of PAYING CUSTOMERS. showboat
