Mid-Michigan | I don't know about all that N. It really never did anything for us (a couple of times the N got on but the corn did not get planted). We had a lot of fodder but beans were nothing but normal. I've tried lots of foo foo. Haven't been to successful pushing us into new yield areas. I think gypsum has helped us. I thing variety has helped us. 150-200 K has helped. Tile, no compaction have both helped. We are certainly growing better beans now than we did 20 years ago. I expect 60 bu. beans. I think a wheat, corn, soys rotation helps. Seems like my soys after corn using year N helps. I have tried to add anything that that the plant called for before (tissue test). Did several trials but beans only looked better, no real noticeable yield difference where micros went vs. check. Also, my tissue test always shows a boron deficiency. Boron added in any way at any time has done nothing for my yields.
Good luck with your trial. I hope you find the magic to putting us regularly at 100 bu.
