southern MN | I am more familiar with Festus, I haven’t seen as many, or remember as many, with Chester.
When I think Gunsmoke sidekick, I think Festus.
I enjoy the radio versions as well. I don’t think Willam Conrad (Matt Dillon on the radio show) would have worked out on a horse. But man he had a deep recognizable voice. He was on so many radio shows, and voice on TV. He played Cannon on TV if you can’t place him.
