Chopped bales break up a whole lot faster. Pull the bale apart before putting in helps mixing time. You can run some pretty aggressive knives on the screw if doing mostly bales. Can make huge differences in processing time. You're going to want one slightly oversized to avoid it spilling over the top when you put the bale in to start processing. Mixing order makes a difference as well.
