WC Iowa | We (as in the other neighbors and I) have a neighbor who is a very serious problem with their cattle. They are out multiple times a week and they will drive through your standing crops with pickups and 4-wheelers with no regard to staying off of the crop.
There has been 2 accidents in the last 10 years or so with people hitting them in the dark. There is usually one if not more deads laying within sight of the road that are always left to rot even next to the one neighbor's house. They will not answer or return calls/texts. The Sheriff and county attorney just shrug their shoulders and says it's a civil matter and there's nothing they can do. Livestock get out I have cattle it's apart of it but this is beyond that and being civilized in my book. I am surprised that through the years an animal activist group hasn't found out about this to use it for their benefit. Each state is different for laws but has anyone dealt with this before and gotten something done?
