Have 110000 on my '13 f 150 with no issues.  Most common issue I hear is the timing chain getting stretched.  2nd most common on the older ones was condensation in the intercooler.  With any vehicle you'll read a lot more negatives than positives on the internet because if it's working they have nothing to say.  When it's broke, they start asking for solutions.  Pre ecoboost era, we had the 5.4L.  They were notorious for cam phaser problems and depending if it was the 2v or 3v the spark plugs would blow out or they'd be stuck and break off when you tried to change them.
