Subject: RE: North Dakota Drought?

I feel for you. I told myself I would never complain about rain ever again after 2011. When the yucca and sagebrush are dying off it’s bad. We had native pastures that weren’t grazed blowing away because grass didn’t green up for two years, the worst area had less than 4” of total precipitation in 12 months with none over .5” in any one event. I can’t imagine how bad it was for the guys in eastern Colorado. That was our historic drought so I know somewhat what you are going through. I would have no idea what the people from the corn belt go through with flooding. The worst part is trying so hard to grow a crop just to have it fail. Good luck and hope it will change for you soon. Hope you don’t get the heat we had that year. We would be over 100 by 10am and 110-115 highs and 2% humidity with 20mph wind. If I recall we were 60+ days over 100 that year.
