| ND has experienced it's driest nine month period in recorded history.
I remember 1988 we were able to get the crop out of the ground ok but the heat was crazy.
Back then we had summer fallow, the ground was black I remember the wheat as it came out of the ground it would lay flat on the ground all day, wind blew like a furnace, grain would stand up during the night and flatten out in the morning again when the heat and wind hit. there were white marks on the grain at ground level from the heat. | |
