Subject: A review of my latest planter add ons

West Central Wisconsin
Finally got my planter in the field today. We are all no till in some pretty rough terrain. Corn/soybean rotation. Was planting beans today.
Clean sweep- I'm not sure how I ever planted without it. It doesn't take much extra pressure but they do an amazing job now.
Ag leader legacy hydraulic down force-. This one has really opened my eyes. Ive seen 100 lbs needed and I've seen 400 lbs needed all in the same pass. I think this one is going to pay dividends. I also learned that the softest place to plant is nearly on top of the row from.last year. Little downforce needed.
Dawn curvetines- they are doing a decent job in our tacky soils but I think they pick up every root ball in the field...
Overall, the planter is like a new machine this year.
