South Central Illinois
We applied Nexicor 3 days ago.
For flag leaf protection.
There was 5” in the forecast for this week.
We received .25” of the 5”
This was via airplane, hopefully some ended up on the wheat, some obviously floated away.
Scattered frost this morning.
Plenty cool for several days now.
Lows in the 40’s, Highs in the 60’s, For the last 7 days.
5 more days of the same.
Then, come Saturday, warmer temperatures, some rain.
Probably not going to have much FHB protection from the Nexicor.
Should we apply Miravis Ace this weekend?
The wheat is starting to Head, I would expect full heading to occur sometime next week.
