I recommend you also try an appliance dealer- Mom & Pop if you can find one. Big box stores often force manufacturers to cheapen their products to bring them down to a price point. Just because the machine has the same name on the front doesn't mean it has the same guts inside.
You might also pretend you already have one and ask the Lowes/Home Depot people about getting service...
My local mom and Pop store can't service anything under warranty for any make they sell. It is all done by authorized independent contractors, the same as the big box stores. Paid more and then learned something.
