There was a leveling tractor. It was a Knudson I think. Don't know if the problem was cost, reliability or dealer support, but it didn't catch on.

Limited hillside market, and no wheeled tractor was very successful selling against crawlers.

There’s really no benefit to a leveling tractor aside from operator comfort, and it’s hard to justify spending much to get that. A leveling seat suspension would cost fractions of pennies compared to trying develop an entire leveling tractor.
