My wife and I were in the area for a couple days.

Hungry Horse Dam was neat to see.

We went west to east on the "Going to the Sun" road. If you can handle just a little easy hiking, there is a trail (an hour or two) that goes to Hidden Lake from the visitor center at the top of the Going to the Sun road. That was beautiful with close sightings of mountain goats, bighorn sheep, and marmots. I never dreamed we could see so much on such a short and easy hike. We came back to the west side on HWY 2 if I remember correctly. That was a pretty drive. There was a place where we cold stop and watch the goats licking salt off the side of some cliffs.

There is a lot to see in the area. Be sure to try the huckleberry jam. I bought some at the airport to take home, but then security took it away from me when we got on the plane.

We stayed at a ski resort near Whitefish. Whitefish is a tourist town with lots of stuff to sell. We did not spend much time there.
