Grandpa calls it God's country, NEIA | Went out to see glacier last summer, (First week of September) Spent some time in the park. The trip was kind of an impromptu trip, so ended up going the week leading into labor day weekend(which was a mistake) I still had fun. Got to see the big country. My recommendation if your staying near glacier, Get up early so you can beat the crowd to the park.
Couple things that I'd like to do, That I didn't get to do was go zip lining, and go on the helicopter ride over glacier.(Which was all booked up because of labor day)
Beside glacier itself, one of the highlights of my trip was catching the tail end if their wheat harvest. Riding in a S780 w/ a 40ft flex draper, and shooting the breeze with the 75 year old owner/operator of the combine while we combined some wheat. Nice fella.
Edit to add, Going back this summer But doing yellowstone/grand tetons instead.
