Leesburg, Ohio | With Deere equipment and technology, I start corners at times by un-checking the section control box, so the boom come on when I hit the boom switch. After the first start-up in the field, I usually go back to using section control, and let it come on with movement. But I have my min pressure set at 15 psi, so when it comes on, there is immediately a good pattern.
For rate problems coming out of a turn on the ends into your main rows, try to have a consistent travel speed coming out of your turn into the main rows. Slow down, make the turn, pickup whatever speed you can coming out of the turn, but do not keep accelerating through the time when section control is coming on. Finish accelerating after your boom is on. When I use two passes on the ends, I can be at full speed coming back into the main rows. When using only one pass on the ends, I have to slowly finish picking up speed after the boom comes back on.
