We are to the point where folk ask if one is done with corn, getting done with beans as a greeting now.

I say no, still working on corn, I have peat bogs......

The older wiser ones nod and say oh, yea, you wouldn’t want those planted in conditions like this!

Better tile sure helps, but they still pool cold water and cold air over them, person just needs to chill out and plant them a little later. They always look tough through June no matter what, then come on like gangbusters the last half of the season. Can’t push them I don’t want thin stands on my best water holding ground if we do have a dry year for a change.

Saw some manure being hauled 2 days ago.
