I think we all get hung up on chasing the top, but as the saying goes you can't go broke making money. If you are profitable selling into the future, start making small sales up to your comfort zone. Im in the same boat, I have hail insurance but do not carry federal crop ins. I plan to start selling some beans in the near future as they are at profitable levels for me. I have some corn in the bin that I want (but dont need) to sell, but seeing as how I feed most of my corn I'm going to ride it until I feel safer about our current crop so I don't oversell and end up buying corn back at a higher price for feed.
