I agree w/ cold boot, but I usually do it while key and display are on. Keep it unplugged for at least a minute.
If you go to the main menu, display, and the wrench....then the About tab. What software version is the display on? Current is 3.36.xxxx which has been around quite a while but I still find some that are older.
