You will be fine. In 2019 I planted beans in knee high rye. It rained for 3 weeks and the beans were up a good 2” tall and the rye was 6’ and heading out. I finally got it sprayed. You couldn’t see the beans for a long time but they ended up being my best beans that year, about 5 bushel better than any others. They were also planted 3 weeks earlier so that may have also been the reason for the yield increase. The tall rye didn’t seem to hurt them.
