Subject: Planted soybeans into live cover crop question

Michigan
I planted soybeans on 4-23 into broadcast wheat cover crop. At the time the cover was short and thin and the plan was to allow the beans to emerge then terminate the wheat/cover.
The beans are still a week to ten days from emerging unless we get some warm weather soon, and the cover is now two weeks thicker/ taller and I'm concerned beans will not emerge under the thicker areas.
I plan to terminate the cover sooner than waiting for beans to come up. Will the dying cover harm the emerging beans?
