North of London | Yes, they used to come around early in June and you had to stop when the canvasser came to fill it out.
At least now we can pick a suitable day over a short time period.
I won't complain as i have used old census info to fill in family history.
Family story always was my G Grandfather move to this area as a 'young man'
Knew where he came from, Guysboruogh Nova Scotia but I happened to be looking through the census rom 1851 and found him and his parents and sister and he was 12 years old listed as a farm labourer
Surprised an aunt and uncle who were still alive as they had never known that.
So I always think maybe my info will come in useful to someone in the future when it is made public. | |
