Subject: RE: Round Up Ready Sweet Corn, why

Northern IN
I had a conversation with one of my seed guys about GMO sweet corn the other day. They give 1/2 lb packs of non GMO sweet corn seed to customers. I had asked him about where they source it as I would like to find a source to buy a pound of bt sweet corn to add to the patch in case we have trouble with ear worms. He mentioned they would get some to give to customers but they would have to get a signed user agreement for everyone they gave it to just like they have to get for traited field corn they sell. The headache of getting and keeping track of signed agreements isn’t worth it in that case. I’d guess the same hassle is the reason you don’t see it for sale in small quantities.
