Our kitchen has two layers of linoleum on top of some kind of orange rubber tile squares, on top of wood and subfloor (was like this when we moved in). But the problem is you will have the height difference between rooms. Ideally I like a house with the same flooring throughout, no seams at every doorway. I just helped a buddy lay vinyl plank in his kitchen it turned out very good. | |
