Check with a rental company and see if they have a small no-till seeder^ for rent.  If you have some moisture in the soil, I would go ahead and no-till seed more grass into it.

^ - when I say "small", I am thinking something like 4-5 wide.  That would be a good size seeder for that kind of job.
