If I recall things correctly, the anti-ethanol folks would say: Isn't it time that O & G stood on it's own two feet without any govt incentives? Besides, how else will the New Green Agenda folks get people to quit buying fossil fuel burners and buy EV's (which are produced out of fossil fuel materials, etc.)? Maybe $5 gas would slow down the demand for $70,000 pickups.
