| I looked up the specs and it says it’s only 260 pto HP. Shouldn’t hurt too much at that power. We ran our 3970 with a hot 8770 that was putting out 245hp at the PTO. Feed rolls would plug long before you could push it too hard. Also I found that If you have a tractor that can hold the pto speed at 1000 the chopper worked far better. I broke way more shear pins running our 4650 on it then a higher horsepower tractor. | |
