I would suggest either opening the brake bleed nipple on top of the final drive or it may just be easier to disconnect the brake line. Then see if it rolls freely. If it rolls freely, your brake valve isn’t releasing. If it still doesn’t roll correctly then the problem is inside the final drive. Either way you’ll know what to work on.
I believe all the utility tractors of that era have a manual master cylinder/brake valve that is refilled/kept full by the transmission pump.
While you have the bleed loose, stroke the affected brake once to check that the line isn’t clogged or restricted somehow. If you stroke it too many times, you may use all the oil in the reservoir and get air in the lines. Then you have to start the tractor and wait for the reservoir to refill. | |
