Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | I have not used the combination you refer to but I would agree with your speculation. The black wire is very likely ground and the blue the signal. Sometimes the ground is not needed if both systems use chassis ground.
I use Ag Leader GPS but not the Compass. With mine I need to type in a special command to get emulated speed out. You may need to do that also. If I perform GPS updates from time to time, I need to type in the special command again since the GPS gets set back to not putting out the speed signal after an update.
I printed out the special command on paper and keep a copy in each tractor. I can try to get it for you but it may not be correct for your setup.
I use the speed out branch on my 8xxx tractors to get radar like speed on the tractor dash. Thus I get PerCent Slip since the tractor dash compares the transmission speed against the GPS speed.
