East Central Ohio | Hi all. Small cow-calf guy looking for a new manure spreader. Have ran an H&S 175 we bought new about 10-11 years ago. With equipment prices on the rise and our spreader still having some good value left in it, we're looking to trade up. Still looking at a single axle box spreader. We've really liked our H&S and were looking at a 3123, 235bu model. It seems like a fairly heavy duty spreader for the price range. One thing I've noticed is that the H&S is still chain drive, where as the New Holland, Pequea, and Kuhn we've noticed are all belt drive. Is there anybody else out there that still runs smaller sized box spreaders that could weigh in on pros/cons of the brand they run. We don't necessarily need to get rid of ours, but I'd rather get some money out of it now than run it for ten more years and back it into a tree line to rot. All the brands I've mentioned have dealers fairly close. Thanks. | |
