Does anybody on here farm or do business on both sides of the border?
I was told Canada and the US have a tax treaty and I don’t need to file in the US but I’m thinking it might be better if I did ???
Hard to get straight answers even from accountants so I figured somebody else might have have experienced this..
Not sure who your accountant is but I think BDO has people that specialize in this sort of thing. You would want to go into something like this with both eyes open. Might also be implications for health care coverage depending on how long you are in each country. |
