SW Wisconsin | We had a couple live calves under 40 lbs quite a while back. One of them went on and made a nice cow, too: I think she died at about 12 years old. I set out to weigh all my calves one year, and got bored of it when I figured my scale was accurate to within 5 lbs and the first 20+ calves I weighed were within 2 lbs of 55. We did get a couple of monsters here today, though: I bet the bigger one would crack 70 lbs soaking wet with a full belly. | |
