you will be best served to keep your hose distance to a minimum, especially in cold weather. I generally had little trouble in the winter, but I did have the pump inside the feed shed so it was out of the wind.
Will add that I quit feeding liquid because I determined it was overpriced crap. All my performance metrics improved immediately after going off it. This was a dairy optimizer from QLF.

I'm mainly going to try the liquid feed as a way to save money and time on mineral. We are feeding cattle mainly to use up forage waste from our hay business and screenings from seed cleaning. So I need a balancer mineral to incorporate easily, and the syrup should help the mixing and sorting of the finished ration. We shall see..... |
