Can't speak directly to liquid feed, but any increase in pumping distance will slow your load speed unless you increase the line size. No idea how much. Might be negligible. Hopefully someone with firsthand experience will chime in.

If the feed is really that sensitive to friction loss, that could be a workaround though. Increase the size of your supply line running underground to a smaller "whip" end that you handle.

After reading all the responses, I'm going to put the tank right next to where the discharge pipe is. That should help keep the speed up....
