West central Ohio | What opener can get true 2x2 placement? Have had JD SD openers for years and they are doing good to get fertilizer to seed depth with all new steel. Planting depth for corn 1 1/2 to 2 1/4". Don't know of any opener that will place fertilizer to 3 to 4" depth. Openers are penetrating to depth of gauge wheel and gauge wheels are at deepest setting. Have had three 7200 planters and two 1770 planters. All the same. Liquid fertilizer. | |
