Subject: RE: Grass tetany risk for mama cows grazing wheat?

A couple of years ago I had a field of rye next to my calving pasture that I wanted to graze off so I called around locally trying to buy high-magnesium mineral, but nobody had any locally. One place made a call to their nutritionist and they sold me a 50lb bag of magnesium oxide and told me the ratio to mix it with the high-salt mineral I was using. I had to mix it by hand, but it was a cheap way to go for peace of mind at least.
