Central Alberta | I discovered a way that works just as well. When you put the hay about 5 feet off the ground, the cattle always clean up every bit on the ground first. When I was tending a small herd, I left the hay on a wagon, and I never had a mess left behind. Years later, I met another guy who discovered the same thing. He made rack to hold the bales off the ground and the cattle just pulled hay from the bale, and leaving the ground clean. | |
