| FWIW the Ford dealer told me recently that those 7.3's are outselling their diesel trucks, and for the whole time they've been in business diesels have always been their number one seller. This has never happended before the whole time they've been selling trucks.
Diesel engines in this country are over, the progressives won. $9,000+ upcharge, $0.50 per gallon + , and repair bills higher than a used truck is worth. I can tell you for sure if I was in the market for a new truck, it'd be the 7.3 or a used one, the V10 of 6.8 liters. I even had a diesel mechanic tell me that 9/10 of his customers woulda been better off financially in the long run if they'd just bought a gas truck | |
