North central MO | Had 300 had calving then to in a 7 mile spread 2 of us around the clock checking never went to sleep that week. had 80 some calfs in 7 days to hotboxs full all the time. Wife said ther was 11 calfs in the garage outside the hotbox one nite ( I don’t remember) went through a lot of colostrum.
Lost 3 calfs to died in hotbox the other we found after snow melted . Biggest trouble was getting them paired back up with ther mothers.
There is carrols and old barns set up at each calving pasture. | |
