Subject: RE: THE SUBTLE SCIENCE BEHIND SOIL AGGREGATES

PENN STATE 1996

To achieve proper residue maintenance, there must be limited soil mixing. If crop residues are not incorporated or mixed with the soil, then fertilizer, manure, and limestone also will not be mixed with the soil. Lack of incorporation can have a major impact on the behavior and management of nutrients

I will keep looking for that the articles from ISU. Did several displays and on a tour by the Practical Farmers of Iowa and won several awards and displays Iowa Farm Bureau at the Iowa State Fair and National convention. Also was on the ISU Ag building PFI display board as selling out to the Chemical companies so perhaps you are right.
After that most of my work was done with the ISU Ag researchers on test plot studies. Also working with Purdue we proved that we could reduce the rate of soil applied insecticides by 5/6 but neither the universities or chemical companies wanted to promote it much.
So as you see I have been on both sides of the fence.
