Subject: RE: Honda Rancher and snow plow

Western ND
Had a Cycle Country on my 06 Rancher and it did fine for what I used it for. Upgraded to a skid steer. Wet heavy deep snow can be an issue as can be hard drifted snow. The heavy gets to be a bit much and can spin out. With hard packed drifts the plow wants to ride over it. I was doing about a 250yard driveway and an area in front of the garage, no concrete. One year we had enough snow I brought home a road grader from work and had to move the snow out further since I couldn't move it with a 4wheeler any more. One thing I did was add a 3" strip of rubber to the top of the blade to keep powder snow from blowing in my face. When I took the plow off for storage I tipped it up on the blade with the rubber curled under so it stayed bent forward when in use. The good thing about lighter wheelers is they are easier to get unstuck from a snowbank since a guy can still manhandle them somewhat.
