I'm sure it would work, but be aware with a plow you may be backing up a lot, and getting to reverse is more complicated than it is with a belt machine. You push down the button, pull the brake, and downshift until you hit reverse. The belt machine is the pull of a lever.

Maybe it's not a big deal, I don't have a plow on my rancher. Just thinking of my snow moving equipment and the left hand reverser sure is nice to move forward and backward quickly.

You can adjust the reverse cable by the button to make it almost seamless to go from forward to reverse.
