Bought a used air cart and drill, Deere, has a auger setup on it instead of a belt, mainly because it came from small grain country,
I was wondering if its worth while putting a poly cup auger in to reduce damage to soybean seed, or is the steel flighting fine if ran properly?
Also is the poly auger safe to use on fertilizer during winter wheat seeding? Only planning on putting 40ton of MAP through it a year at most.
TIA
1900/1910 cart? Auger should be fine for beans, guys use them here for peas. Just don’t try to launch it to the moon, watch your flow going into it - they’ll move product if you make them. |
