north west arkansas | I think in your environment and going to retain ownership until there hanging on a rail I think creep will pay all day and twice on Sunday. Now if your a guy selling calves whether off the farm or at a Salebarn will it pay? Probably not. Will it lose money? Some years no some years yes and If your lucky it may pay once in a while. Now will it help get a cow breed? Only way is if they are so limited on forage that the calves eat less forage because of creep leaving more for the cows. Years ago I believed it took some load off a cow but study after study has proved that wrong and that a calf prefers moms milk first and foremost. | |
