I'm not saying anything is rigged ....... but I bet a couple of years ago you could type in "annual deaths" and a number would have come up.....I bet you didn't have to sift through the chaff to find the grain.

How was it not mis categorized, putting it nicely?

I guess I'm not sure what you are asking. I'm just saying that it seems that if I Google "How Many People Died in the US in 2019 or 2018" a number should come up.

I was agreeing with you and basically disagreeing with dko. It seems it takes a few months for deaths to trickle in and then it seems to be a better part of a year before "official" stats are published. Lots of preliminary numbers or projections prior to the official nearly 12 month lag.

We will never know how many covid deaths were really flu or whatever else they really were or really should be categorized as. But ultimately I really don't have to know. Just look at total deaths and back out known deaths in all the other categories and plot them against their individual histories. Then the covid vs flu vs other related categories can be guessed. My guess is covid was way over played. And even if it wasn't, the cost of the govt response was completely unnecessary and unjustified. Yes it was a bad killer not going to side step that. But it happens and happen again and we can't shut things down every time a few extra people die.

More than statistics getting reconciled someone needs to go back and find out why shutting down foreign travel didn't happen sooner, why hydroxy and ivermectin is just now coming to light months after it was first mentioned.
