North Central Illinois | I would almost bet deaths from things like the flu and car accidents are down. A lot fewer people contracted the flu due to social distancing, hand washing, mask wearing, and just staying home. There was a period this spring and summer where car travel was curtailed drastically so I would have to think automobile deaths are down as well. Things like heart disease and cancer probably claimed about the same number. | |
