We had that problem. The solution was to remove the anode from the top of the hot water tank and replace it with pipe plug. The sulphur gas was a chemical reaction happening between the anode and our water.
That was our problem too. Seems to only happen with well water. I wonder if it is because of Manganese in our water. Maybe reacts with the magnesium for somehow. I thought my well was going bad at first. |
